A WORD ABOUT US
OUR BELIEFS, PRACTICES, AND ORGANIZATION
Our beliefs are simple: Jesus Christ is Lord and we strive to live out Christ's teachings and example in all we do.

Looking at our sanctuary you will note that the communion table takes the central position, The Lord's Supper or communion is celebrated weekly in worship. All believers in Christ, regardless of church affiliation, may join in our celebration of this Holy Sacrament. Our observance of the Lord’s Supper emulates the Passover feast, when Jesus shared bread and wine with his Disciples on the eve of his crucifixion. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the living Christ is met and received in the sharing of the bread and the cup, representative of the body and blood of Jesus.
We believe in the importance of baptism, We believe that through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God. At Seventh Street Christian Church, we baptize by full immersion. However, we also freely accept members into our congregation who have been baptized by other means, we do not question the validity of other forms of baptism or require re-baptism for membership.

Seventh Street Christian Church is congregationally governed, with an elected board, elders, and deacons who serve worship and pastoral care functions, as well as professional and volunteer staff who administer the work of the church.
